Hi, Thanks for reading. I am looking to identify a drivers side rearview mirror, color keyed racing mirror from 1970. I bought it at a swap meet, marked as a 1970 mustang part. After having it painted with the car, I recently went to install it and found it to not be correct, the pedistool makes it sit crooked. I beleive it to be a Torino part or? The part number is DODB-17743-CW with a small number above it 30348-401-JC . I looked into an assembly manual that I didn't have when I bought the mirror and I now see that a mustang mirror has a DOZB part number, which I luckily kept when tearing the car down. Do you know what this fits?, Thanks for your help! Rob

The part # on the item itself is different from the actual part number used when selling this part. A D0DB casting # on the part would normally be a D0DZ selling # which would be for a Falcon. The D0ZB # would translate to a D0ZZ # which is for a Mustang. A D0OZ # would be for a Torino. Keep in mind however that in 1970 the Torino and Falcon were similar. Also on Ford products the first letter D stands for the decade 1970, the 0 stands for the year '70, the second D and the Z somehow denote the model. C9OZ would be a part for a 1969 Torino. C being decade of 1960's.
