Thanks lightweight421. I do plan on rebuilding the front end. I plan to use the newer poly bushings, either from Kanter or CPP (Classic Performance Products). Do you know anything about Classic Performance Products brake kits and or front end parts?

I dont think you will be gaining much, maybe a little but for the cost you may want to check with Kanter.com for a front end rebuild kit and simply rebuild the stock front end. I once had a 1964 Mercury Comet, the front end was sloppy and driving it was more or less a constant steering challenge, I had the entire front end rebuild and what a difference, it was actually a joy to drive.

The drop spindles would be going on a 1961 Imppala.

What are you planning on putting them on?

Depends on what you are installing the spindles on? If you are converting a 33 Ford from stock to a drop front end then yes they will greatly improve handling from the original. Anytime you can upgrade front suspension to something newer you are going to be gaining a boost in handling and ride.
