steering pump pulley hitting my gearbox.I received some good ideas but none have worked.I came up with another idea and want to see what you guys think. I'm thinking about putting a steel plate under the motor mounts to raise the motor a bit. I only need 1/4 inch to clear but was thinking about using a 1/2 to 3/4 inch plate so when the motor shifts to the side it won't hit the steering box. It looks like I have good clearance for the transmission bell housing and other stuff the motor may hit by raising it. Any ideas would be appreciated and any feedback on this idea would be a great help, thanks everyone.

No don't raise the motor you well put the drive shaft in a bend and it will cause the shaft too vibrate the car. and you well blow the rear trany seal, with the drive shaft out of alignment. I have never heard of a problem such as you are having. Don't use the serpentine belt go back to the original style that came on the car. You well need a water pump that except's, the housing of the pump. Or are you putting in a vortic eng. If your putting in a vortic eng, you have to change the crank pulley to the old style, and water pump. And fab a bracket too, bolt the other end of the pump housing to the vortic head.
put a levelon top of carb to make sure the engine is not lower in front than rear .if front is lower the mount tjat bolts to the block comes in 2 different heights between car and truck.that might solve your problem.in foward gears the torgue from engine will lift the drivers side of engine.
