The original VIN# was on the frame near the motor. The car has a good Texas title as a 34 ford with a VIN #. I have been told that you just engrave the vin # on a plate and then rivit the plate to the frame near the motor or to the firewall near the steering column. I have also been told that i could just engrave or stamp the VIN# directly on to the firewall near the steering column. Can anyone help me with a reference to Oklahoma rule or regulations that confirm that one or both or these methods is acceptable to the Oklahoma DMV ?
