How modern? From '65 thru '79 Ford F-series trucks used the same basic frame and body mounting locations. The only major difference is in wheelbase. I have done numerous swaps with rigs from these years. For the most part it is a nuts and bolts task. 1980 and newer can be made to work, but it is work. Seems the newer you go, the more work that is involved. I have seen a youtube video. about a person adapting a '65-'66 to a late model Eco Boost truck. Not a chore for the timid, that is for sure.
