6 and 8 cylinder frames are different. 55 and 56 frames interchange stick and power flite trans take different cross members at rear of engine, but they can be changed . possible different shock cross members and tailpipe bracket , change as needed. source 24th edition HOLLANDER INTERCHANGE MANUAL;
