I think by '63 the 221 was gone; 260 definitely avail; 289 was a late '63 offering; no 302 until '68.

NO IT DID NOT 260 IS WHAT IT CAME WITH A V-8

The 302 came out in 1968.

the 63 Fairlane came with 3 different V8 engines a 221 cid with a 2 barrel carb , a 260 cid with a 2 barrel carb and a 289 cid with a 4 barrel carb. Hollander Interchange manual shows AC parts interchange so ac was available .They had 3spd with od ,3spd , 4spd and auto trans . this car had a 5 bolt bell housing on the v8s.ford went to the 6 bolt bell housing in 1955 and also went to the alt .with a new style block.
