California GS Package, 1967 2 dr thin pillar coupe
I have a 1967 Buick Special 2 dr thin pillar coupe with the California GS package. The question I have; the car does not have the gills on the side fenders on the lower section, but has the 3 port hole relevant to this model year. it does have the 4 barrel high aspirated 340 V8, dual exhaust plus all other GS badging on the sail quarter panels, rear trim, and front trim. It was assembled at the Freemont Plant. Is it possible that the retrofitting was done at the factory and the lower gills were not available at the time? the vin#433077Z107971. cowl tag shows, ST-67-43407, build date- 01B, Jan 2nd week..
