Can anyone help me find some sites that will explain the codes stamped on rims? I have literally hundreds of wheels I need to look up so I can start selling them. Most don't have centercaps or any easily identifiable marks that are helping me. All I have are sizes and date stamps,or some kind of serial number. I know K168 27FW means Kelsey-Hayes Romulus, MI plant Aug 27th1976 FW(?wheel code) . I've got Chevrolets' covered I think. But I have alot of different manufacturers I think since so many of them seem to have different code styles. Ex. 5 lug stamped 15x8 LAX WHEEL LOAD 1150LBS A5467on the inside. There is also what looks like a Y inside a O embosed on the inside. A giant 3 stamped into the side with a sticker that reads dial fit lug bolts only. Any help is greatly appreciated. Oh and none of them are any newer than probably the 70s.
