Jag rearend is on a home made frame with 31 chev.-5window coupe.A real good job was done to make rearend fit.I don't know if axles and u-joints will hold up to the power or the 4 coil over shocks will do the same.I bought this car in 1979 so rearend could be from 60 to 70's.Disc brakes are on 3 rd member and driveshafts to wheels are open.Hope you can help, thanks, ricosone

Jaguar rear ends were an early re-end swap, mainly because they came with their own frame and mounts from the Jaguar, making it somewhat easy to weld in between frame rails. I had a 29 Model A with such a set up and it worked fine for years. It was powered by a 400 SBC w/Edelbrock Performer RPM package & turbo 350 trans. The coil-over type shocks made the rear sit up too high, so they were swapped out with Aldan adjustable gas shocks (4) to make it lower and not rub. Replacing rotors is a job, but pad replacement is pretty easy. Hope this helps some!
It is very unlikely that a Jag rear end and axles will hold up very long to a high-torque Chevy V-8 engine, unless you take it very easy on the gas.
