I have a 1966 Dodge Polara 500 convertible with a 383 that has an electrical problem. If I leave the battery connected, it drains the battery. Also, if I disconnect the battery while the car is running, the engine dies. I have replaced the alternator & voltage regulator twice. I've had them tested and they tell me they're both working properly. The car has no electrical power options to be pulling juice. Any suggestions?

The voltage regulator some time will stick closed causing the battery to drain. Take a test light put the ground clamp on the postive side of battery. put the other end on the ground side the test light will light up if you have a short. Now disconect the voltage reg's power source the red wire, if light goes out the points are sticking. If thats not it pull the fuse's until the test light goes out, and look an se what the fuse is for, your problem is on that surket.
