Speedometer replacement
I just replaced a broken speedo cable but after test driving it the needle is STUCK on 30 mph. The cable I bought was a little longer than the one I took out(3-5) I didn't think it would make much differance. What did I do wrong ???

A cable a little longer shouldn't make much difference, the triangular ends on the other hand will. Also, are you sure your speedometer head isn't stuck? Try removing the cable from the rear of the speedometer, if the needle falls back down, it could be the cable. However, if the needle stays where it is at (30), then it could be your speedometer head.

when you say the cable was a little longer, do you mean the entire cable or the little ends poking out of the cable?
