How to find a Chevy with a VIN with fewer than 17 characters? (Pre-1981)
I've been trying to locate the saddle tan on saddle tan 1963 Chevy SS 409 that my dad bought new and we drag raced together. I have the VIN, (31847J219921), but every site I tried requires the standardized 17 character number. I managed to track down a listing for the car offered for sale at a Ford dealership in Delavan, WI, but don't know what year that may have been posted and received no response from my inquiry to them. Does anyone offer a service to help locate classics such as this?
