Having difficulty removing the turn signal cancel cam from the steering column. Do I need to remove the whole assembly? Thanks

Most of the time it is one of the springs that break. If both springs are intact and nothing you can see is broken the whole thing needs to be replaced You can buy the springs from a lot of places. Once you have the wheel off you just have to disconnect the turn signal switch at the bottom of the steering column, remove the turn signal lever and 2 or 3 screws that hold the plastic base to the upper column. Be careful pulling the wires up the column and feeding the new ones back down.
