Reason for no spark to plugs
taggart

3 years ago in FORD
I have a 59 Edsel Ranger. Distributor has been rebuilt with new points, condenser, cap, plug wires, rotor, spark plugs, coil, ignition resistor. I have spark from the coil to the cap but no spark to the plugs. Points are set at .015. What am I missing here?

Just a suggestion, make sure your timing is correct.

If spark is getting to the cap but not to the plugs the problem is probably your rotor. A lot of rotors made in China will arc to ground eliminating spark to distributor cap. Check your rotor to see if a carbon tract has caused a ground in the center of the rotor. Good luck
