Trailing arms and coil over springs
The rear suspension used was what was called "truck arms" which consisted of long trailing arms that mounted to the rear end,and then went to the frame angling towards the center of the truck and mounted to the frame at the frame pivots, and it used coil springs. This style of suspension was copied on short track asphalt race cars. Look up images of truck arm suspensions for pictures.
