A friend of mine had a 64 1/2 mustang back in the '70's, I don't know how it was registered.
the thing about it that was different was that it had a body pan that covered the bottom of the car.
You will never find a Mustang titled as a 1964 1/2. All first year Mustangs were titled as 1965. Saying that, the 1965 Model year was nearly 15 months long. April 1964-Sept 1965. There IS such a thing as an early or late 1965. Many people confuse the early as 1964 1/2. Actually it is an early 1965
