There were 2 small bars that went there. Kind of like military stripes. My 1 Ton had buttons to just plug the holes. Mine is a very base model. The bars were on the uplevel trims.

Previous answer is probably correct, there are parking lights 5-6'' below each headlight. The lenses is approximately 3' in diameter, glass. My '52 has the parking lights in body trim. I have pictures of 54's that don't have trim but rather the fender has a bump around the light.
