I recently purchased a 1955 Dodge C3 pickup that was last licensed in 1972, the truck has an old decal that was for Civil Defense, it has been pasture cured for a few decades. What I’m curious to know is the purpose of side mounts on each side where the spare tire mounts usually go, but no wheel well in the fenders. There are three 12” sleeve covered bolts mounted into the bed on each side. Any ideas what they would be for? I have ordered a title history.
