The number built appers about right. There are no "official" exact #'s. Also be very carefull on "F" bodies concerning RPO numbers. (options) These were not tracked in any official capacity until around 1972. If you do not have the "build" sheet AND dealer sticker, you basically have only what you can identify on the car. These cars ARE NOT graded on 1-10. Be VERY carefull in this area of valuation. They are graded on 1-5. Basically.... 1. is a museum piece(no miles, climate controlled EVERY PIECE ORIGINAL with ALL paperwork. Provenance is the word. 2. could be a museum piece but is lacking ALL provenance. See #1. 3. EXCELLENT condition, LIKE NEW only minor signs of use or wear. ( cars at a BIG shows generally fall into this category). 4. A nice daily driver (a 10 footer). 5. parts car or capable of being driven. Probably needs some repairs to be truly road worthy. Edmunds is a good place to start, just be very honest with the condition. The latest auction results will give you real world RETAIL price info. (Barett Jackson, Monterey, Carlisle and so forth) Grundy or Haggerty insurance can help you as well. A certified/well known appraiser would be worth the while as well. Corvettes use the Bloomington Gold designation so something equivacal would have merit. Remember, ORIGINAL, NON RESTORED, FINE CONDITION brings the ultimate $$$. Hope this helps.
