I thought I'd look in my old motors repair manual that covers 1935 -1942 and find a pressure. The book actually said to hold your finger over the gauge tube and the oil should squirt out when you move your finger. With it being a dipper system I would think the 14psi should be in the ballpark.It did say to run 20w in the the summer and 10w in the winter. Hope this helps.
