the small flywheel uses a starter that has the bolts straight accross against the flywheel cover.they are 2 different lengths.the bolts on the larger are the same length,and staggerd .on the automatics. on sticks they also make the same nosae design for large and small .the bell housing on the small one has a flat spot by the starter nose,the larger bellhousing has a bulge so the starter will fit .believe larger is 14 iches.
