I have a 77 Cutlass Supreme. I am getting ready to put in a big block cheyy. Will I have any problems? My question is: What is the OEM rear end ratio, Would it be posi-tract, Is it a 7.5 or 8.5 inch, and how many splines on the pinion. Any help appreciated. It has a 350 motor and th350 transmission. Mike, they are 8.5's, not sure spline, and it'll probably be 2.41 gears. if it's a posi it'll have a tag on rear cover
Better off going BB Olds help value as well, but it has a 8.5-rear, and most likely have an open rear with 2.41 gears. but limited slip was an option.
