Got a 63 GP with 375 hydromatic with some tranny problems.
Will not go into gear. I can't "feel" it go into PNDLR, tires won't spin..nothing. Shoud I pull the tranny and have it rebuilt or mess with the valve body? This is what I've done: pulled pan off....no metal shavings, added lucas oil transmission, refilled it, with no results. I have found and 64 Catilina with the same engine and tranny (I think) would I be able to use that trann? HELP!!!!!!

Check out your linkage, and make sure that it is moving properly. As far as replacing the tran, If I remember correctly the 63 to 65 were still the same. Compare the dimensions, make sure the splines front and rear count are the same and bolt pattern are the same. What I am saying is: I don't think they changed trans between a GP and a Cat.
Good luck
