Hello, I have an 85 C10. It runs well in the warm weather but under 30 degrees I have a hard time getting it started the first start of the day. It starts right up but stalls out after a couple of seconds. It has a new air filter, plugs, wires and distributer cap. Once running it does great. Getting it warmed up with out stalling multiple times is the problem. Where would I look next to solve this problem? Any ideas are appreciated.

It could be the check valve in the electric fuel pump. it is supposed to keep the fuel in the line overnight, but if it leaks back into the tank then the lines are dry. it takes a while to get the gas lines filled up again. then its good for the day, until the next day then you have to do it over again. cold weather requires more fuel initally. Cadillac has given a fix to use techron in your gas tank. you can get it at walmart $6.50. I can't promise this will fix it but might help. You can Google this for more info....good luck.. dodget

i always adjusted my idle according to the seasons. leaner in warmer weather, richer in colder...it sounds like yours was tuned in warm weather.
