1967 Buick Gran Sport
The GS-340 featured a 340 cu. in V8 engine offering 260 hps at 4200 rpm and featured a Carter 4 barrel carb and hydraulic lifters with a 3 speed manual transmission. Outside, the GS-340 boasted red broad rally side stripes and hood scoops as well as the lower rear deck molding and came in two different body colors, white or platinum mist. An optional Sport Pac was available for greater road control and offered heavy-duty rear stabilizer bar, springs, shock absorbers and 15:1 steering ratio. GS 400 is a brand new Buick series for 1967 and includes a 2-door thin pillar coupe, sport coupe and convertible. These new cars are distinguished by such standard equipment as hood scoops, a brand new 400 cubic inch engine, heavy duty suspension, all vinyl bench seats, three speed heavy duty floor shift manual transmission, chrome accented wheel opening moldings and finned aluminum front brake drums. Gran Sport equipment could also be ordered on the Riviera series for an extra $138. Included in the package was heavy duty front and rear shocks, Positraction, red or white striped wide oval tires and identified by front fender and instrument panel GS emblems.1967 Buick Skylark Gran Sport Production Numbers
