The full-sized Chevrolet Impala, Bel Air and Biscayne took a step down as the Caprice became the new top of the line Chevrolet full sized model. Thus taking over the Impala's luxury image. 1966 Chevy full-sized styling changes included the loss of the famous signature round taillights, which had been an Impala trademark since 1958. New large rectangular ones replaced them along with a more massively styled front end. |
