In 1964 the Corvette made its debut with several improvements including redesigned shock absorbers and changes to the front and rear springs, added more body insulation, along with revised transmission mounts and shift linkage, all adding up to a more quiet comfortable ride. On the performance side a higher horse power “fuelie “ was added to the engine lineup with 375 hp, along with four other 327 V8’s as an option producing 250, 300, 350, and 365 hp.

The big style change for 1964 was the hardtop and the loss of its split rear-window design moving to a more conventional single-piece rear window.
