A more conservative approach, with "jet smooth" lines, evident with the aircraft inspired side trim. Chevrolet changed much of the bodylines from the more wilder '59's. The new look for 1960 suited the glamorous top of the line Impala, as Chevrolet reshaped and separated the "bat wing" tail fins, and added 3 round tailamps to the rear. The Chevrolet Bel Air remained the mid-line option for the full sized line up and was offered in 5 different models including; Sport Sedan, Sport Coupe, 4-door Sedan and 2-door Sedan and 4-door Station wagon.
