1956 Chevrolet Cameo

Chevrolet’s “Task Force” continued to dominate the truck market and offered again in 1956 was the limited production Cameo pickup.  Features of the Cameo exhibited the toughness of a truck but the amenities of a passenger car.  The wrap-around panoramic windshield styling and square lines remained from the previous years design although body side moldings changed to black to match the black accented hubcaps.  Other changes for the year included a new position of the side chrome extensions and a V was proudly displayed in the bow-tie emblem if the truck was equipped with a V8 engine. 

The 1956 Cameo came in 8 two-tone color combinations – the first color listed is the main body color including the roof and windshield pillar, while the second color listed appeared on the rear cab pillars and around the back window.
