DESCRIPTION

This is a super cool and very fast tri-five Chevy prostreet. This is a frame off restoration.

Body: This car build started in late 2008 and was finished 2009. It started with what appears to be a rust free body. The body was removed, prepped, rear tubs added, etc. and re-mounted on a custom built frame with all new body bushings. All new tinted glass, weather stripping, wiring, base coat clear coat paint. Color is GM Carbon Flash Black Metallic # WA501Q. On a scale of 1 - 10, I would rate the paint as an 8-. This is a car that has been driven to events. It is not a trailer queen. Therefore, there are a few scratches, touch-ups, etc, which is why I rated the paint where I did. There is also a small 2" crease / dent near the top of the front left fender. (See pic) I think a paintless dent repair guy that knows what he is doing could pop it out with little effort. There are14,874 original miles on the build as shown by working speedometer. All exterior and interior lights work. Hood is a lift off fiberglass unit. It fits well. One person can take it off and on.

Interior: Very nice shape, for a basic interior. No frills here, just all business. The roll cage is welded to the frame members, not just the floor pan. The gauges all work. Very nice stereo system. Full headliner. 5 point harness seat belts. All dash lights work. No wipers, heat or a/c. Horn works.

Frame and suspension: Frame was custom back halved with six point roll cage, ladder bars and coil over shock suspension. Rear end is a narrowed 9" Ford with standard Ford rear disc brakes and a 4:56 Moser gear and Detroit positraction unit. The front has been sub-framed with a G-body (Monte Carlo)front clip. Very professional job. It has power steering and standard Chevy front disc brakes. All new suspension parts and bushings. Racing driveshaft and u-joints. Drive shaft loops. Car handles very well and has a great stance. The wheels and tires were recently replaced with Weld Classic RTs and Hoosier racing tires. All 4 tires are DOT rated for street use. All together, they were over $3,000.

Driveline: Engine is a high performance Chevrolet crate motor generation VI 502 cu in engine with a hydraulic roller cam, 4 bolt mains, steel crank, forged pistons, heavy duty rods, etc. Compression is 9.6 to 1 so it will run on premium fuel from the local gas station. Date code shows it as a 2008 engine. Casting # 10237300. Cast iron rectangular port open chamber heads are 2008 date code also with a casting # of 14097088. It started out as the 454 HP version from GM Performance but it is now running an Edlebrock C-66-R dual quad intake with 2 Edlebrock 500 CFM Thunder series race carbs so it has little more HP. This engine setup would cost around $10,000 in today''''''''s prices. Transmission is a TCI 400 Turbo with a shift kit, and 2500 stall converter. This car has no problem smoking those huge 31x16.50x15 rear tires. Headers are newer stainless steel with a complete new galvanized Flow Master exhaust system. Sounds awesome. Spark is supplied by a MSD 6A box powering up the electronic distributer.

All in all, this is a great car that you can drive anywhere. You can drive it to the race track, have fun running down the quarter mile with it, and then drive it back home, with no issues. It runs great, sounds great, and turns a lot of heads.
