1952 MercuryWith 1952 came a new design for the classic Mercury. With a more subtle grill and sleek bodylines the over all appearance was modernized creating a timeless classic that has countless followers even today. Whether you are talking about lead sleds or cool 50s classics you can't leave out the Mercury. This beautiful 1952 Mercury has a great look and runs very well. It is an older restoration that was completed in New Mexico where it was owned by one of the representatives for the NSRA. You know it was done nicely because if you have that "SR" in your job title you better know Street Rods. The car utilizes a combination of stock and newer components giving it a classic look with some of the modern upgrades. The body is very straight and is coated in a nice Deep Purple/Blue pearl over Lavender. This is then separated by Red and Gold pinstriping which works with the colors well and gives it a cool custom touch. Original style fender skirts are cleanly mounted in the rear and are a nice feature to have. This along with the dual spot lights and chrome side pipes creates that old school look. All of the chrome on the car is in good condition with the bumpers cleanly mounted in front and rear. Original style driving light bumper guards are in place which you don't see on every old Merc. The glass is all nice and clear with no scratches or damage. The car has a very solid stance and cruises around on nice steel wheels with Lancer Hubcaps and Coker Whitewall radial tires. Pop the hood and you will be greeted with a very nice upgraded 1993 Ford/Mercury 5.0 EFI engine that runs extremely well. This type of motor utilizes a brand new Painless wiring system with EFI harness and also comes with software for laptop tuning. The engine is topped with a cold air induction system with K&N filter and has been fitted with an electric fuel pump, a dual brake master cylinder, and dual exhaust. The exhaust system utilizes smithy mufflers which delivers a great sound. This classic has zero heating issues as it is always kept cool with the added electric fan and Walker radiator. The AOD transmission shifts with no issues and the overdrive is a nice feature. The interior of the Merc is completed in a White and Black naugahyde the is in great condition and looks great. The pleated seats are very comfortable and have black seat belts in place. The dash is painted Grey and utilizes mostly original components. A lot of the original levers are in place which look like they are more suited for an airplane. Think about how "high tech" that must have looked in 1952. A new Classic Air underdash A/C unit is mounted in place and blows color with no problems. The Kenwood AM/FM/CD player is also a nice added feature and it utilizes a remote. This is a very cool classic that gets looks wherever you take it.
