First time listed. 1949 Ford Tudor Shoebox Ford that has just come out of a 2.5 year restoration. This is a 6 cylinder version of the ''49 Shoebox Ford. This vehicle has been restored to "like new" condition. Please see pictures "before and after". The car was in pretty good shape before the restoration began.

The engine has been professionally restored and painted, the body work was completed over a 2 year span of time and is almost flawless in my opinion. After a few body patches were welded in along with a few dents fixed, the primer was applied and sanded to a smooth finish....., then 3 coats of paint were applied, followed by one coat of clear. The paint was then buffed out, but more buffing is needed to get the paint to be more glossy. The upholstery (including seats, headliner, door panels, and rubber floor mat) is completely brand new and to original specifications.

All new brake lines have been installed, along with a new master cylinder. A new exhaust system has also been installed. An entire new wiring system has been installed which includes all of the wires behind the dash. All electricals work at this time except for the clock. Original wheels and brand new thin whitewall tires. The bumpers are original and have been re-chromed and look beautiful. The rest of the chrome is original as well but has been polished to look as good as it can, but has not been re-chromed. Some of the chrome is really good, and some of the chrome pieces have spots that are not perfect that would warrant re-chroming the piece. NOS outside door handles, trunk hinges, and trunk handle have been purchased at Jefferson Wisconsin swap meet and put on the car as the original equipment was pitted. Chrome on these pieces look fantastic.

The dash, steering column, and inside of door have not been repainted and remain in their original gray color. Dash has one knob that is not original. There is some fading of the gray paint on the inside of the door where your arm would rest if you were riding/driving in the car. See Pictures. One tiny "ding" on the inside of the passenger side door, beneath the window, as well. (See Pictures) Glass is all good. The trunk has been left pretty much as original. Would need a rubber mat to complete. I forgot to take pictures of the trunk.

The car starts right up and drives great, but we have only put about 5 miles on the car since the restoration was completed, as the weather turned bad here, so there has been no shake-down mileage put on this car yet. I believe the original miles were around 35,000.

I believe that I have described the vehicle to the best of my ability. As you can see, some of the pics were taken a few months ago, and some were taken after your recent blizzard. If you need more pictures on anything let me know. I do not have access to a car lift, but the underneath of the car looks as good as the rest of the car. I kept all of my receipts, (well over $15K into it) and I realize that I am going to lose money on this project, but I have too many projects currently and this has got to go as it is costing me money just sitting in a storage facility. This was a project for my Dad to work on and to get him off of the lazy boy, but things changed when the car was finished, and we are no longer in a position to keep the car. The PRICE is lower than you might expect on this car compared to the other ''49 Fords that have been advertised here during the past 6 months or so. I will accept Cashiers Check, Money Order, Cash in Person, but Not Paypal. The car is currently in Eastern Iowa. Title is clear, and is in my name. Please email me if you any questions. cell 574 849 5323
NOTE IS PRESENTLY IN IA THANKS FOR LOOKING!
