My wife's sister and husband live in LaHarpe. Our nephew's father in law now owns the old Fred Gibb building and it's packed full of junk. We went to Midwest Old Threshers in '02 and a bunch of other shows including the big car show in Nauvoo.

Yes, any decent antique ag/tractor show will have a doodlebug or 2. Back in '02 I took pics of a nice Model A doodlebug at a show in LaHarpe, Illinois. Guys sometimes use them as a basis for rod construction. A guy I know in England did just that.

The fact that the body was cut off and the frame shortened, means it was probably a doodlebug. During the depression and WWII farmers cut cars down to make tractors. They actually show up at car shows these days. I grew up on a farm in upstate NY and I had a 32 Chevy doodlebug. Long gone, of course.
