3951 Higuera Street
Culver City, CA
North Ft. Myers, FL
A wolf in very stylish sheep clothing, she is reported to have 460 horses at her call. Her clean, masculine appearance shakes when her powerplant ignites, and when you hear her, you just might have enough time to see those taillights go by.
Family owned for the last 15 years, she became a project to fulfill a high school dream. Lower and original 108k miles on the speedo, she really only has 5K on her complete rebuild. She runs the streets of North Ft. Myers with 90’s style and modern speed.
Repainted red and added black accents in 2018, she shows bright and beautiful, but with some flaws. Overspray and prep were somewhat compromised, she’s no trailer queen but a true street runner. Black aftermarket rims set the accents perfectly and retain a subtle stance. Glass removable T-tops are just retro and sweet. Painted Z rims support the grippy Mickey Thompson skins. Sleeper comes to mind with a review of her exterior.
Black and gray leather, her interior is reported to be in very nice condition and with only a single minor flaw. Recaro front bucket seats replace the factories and a high-end stereo system refine her cockpit. The air conditioning system is not operational, but all other accessories are reported to function proper. Highly optioned with power everything, she’s a comfortable cruiser just waiting for that green light.
Highly modified and recently rebuilt, her original LTI 350 cid V8 powerplant has been perfected. The list is long, as are the receipts and records. Polished, balanced, blue-printed just get it started. Refurbished four-speed automatic transmission, modified tube suspension, upgraded 11’ front disc brakes, 3” stainless exhaust and 3.73 gears balance the equation that starts with a dyno measuring 460 rear wheel horsepower.
The thorough review of this machine was performed by Lemon Squad, and our mechanic surely enjoyed his independent review. An exceptional report, our Z has just a few minor items of note. As stated, her repaint was not of the highest quality, but she really does show to a very nice level. Aftermarket items like added gauges and Recaro’s are breaking up the otherwise stock interior. Her air conditioning system was the most noted flaw and indeed needs to be addressed. Mechanically, we hear the mechanic from Lemon Squad just couldn’t get over the fun factor in his test drive.
Often we can just barely say enough about a cool car. We admit, there will not be enough said about this sweet ride. Is she a classic at just 25 years old? Maybe, but her tasteful cosmetic modification and her tremendous power and balanced suspension make her a desired ride, and, after all, isn’t that really the definition of a classic?
