1971 Ferrari Daytona Replica

Rare opportunity to own 1 of only 105 Ferrari SRV12 Daytona Spyder replicas ever built by Southern Roadcraft. The SRV12 Daytona was unusual because the body was already mounted to a custom tube chassis and not a butchered donor car. This replica Daytona is simply the BEST of the BEST and the closest you could come to having an Original Daytona Spyder at a fraction of the price. Ferrari sued most kit car companies to stop production, so the expense to produce this kit today would be immense.

THIS IS AN UNFINISHED PROJECT, currently in primer and sitting on Vintage Dayton 72 spoke Cross Laced true knock-off wire wheels, the tires have lots of tread but showing age, and original SRV12 wheels with tires are included (see last picture)


CHASSIS:
Comprised of a rigid lower section with a tubular 1.5in C.D.S. backbone to form a transmission tunnel and engine bay bracing. The foot wells, transmission tunnel, and floor pan are steel paneled thus forming the internal cockpit area. All mounting points are accommodated on the chassis. The chassis is designed to accept the suspension units without the need for retaining the original sub-frames thus simplifying reconditioning and assembly.

BODY:
Comprised of a one-piece fiberglass shell. All steel frameworks and jig bonded into place providing extra rigidity and impact absorption. A full steel framework supports the windscreen frame whilst providing reinforced mounting points for the doors, bonnet and boot together with all the additional external fittings.

DONOR CAR:
The SRV12 SPYDER has been designed to accept all major components from the Jaguar XJ12. Many smaller items can also be used such as instruments, ashtrays, hinges etc.

SOME PARTS ARE "NEW OLD STOCK" FROM THE 90s SO MAY SHOW AGE, windshield installed has defects, owner is including a replacement, front & rear bumpers show some pitting, taillight lenses have minor cracks,

There is "NO TITLE or VIN" to this vehicle as it is an unfinished project. You may use the donor car or register it as a REPLICA, SPCN, KITCAR or other in most states.
