This 2003 Ford Thunderbird 007 Limited Edition brings together two icons. As the name suggests, Ford's T-Bird and James Bond teamed up for something extra special. One of a limited edition (#82 out of 700), this two-owner low-mileage and loaded drop-top has been given the kind of respect that keeps it a true shining star.
Ford has had a longer relationship with 007 than he had with most of his women. After all, the Mustang in Goldfinger practically helped launch the pony car, and the Mercury Cougar got more screen time in On Her Majesty's Secret Service than Bond's Aston Martin. But for 2002's Die Another Day, this was something extra special. Halle Berry had a memorable character and a memorable car. So Ford made a limited run to capture that moment of lightning in a bottle. But it's more than just history that makes this one so attractive. For example, not only is the Coral paint part of this limited edition, but also it definitely captures the pastel 1950s feel that the original carried. And because this example has averaged under 1,300 miles annually, it retains a solid shine of only well-respected use. And speaking of shine, only the 007 edition and Neiman Marcus launch edition cars received the special 21-spoke alloy wheels. So as you look at all the details - from the straightness of the panels to the fit of the soft top - you really understand the level of thoughtful care that has gone into this collectible.
Not only do you have a black folding top, but also this has the iconic porthole hardtop finished in an attractive white. But if you can't decide if the black or white looks better against the Coral paint, then what you really need to do is go with no roof at all. That's because the 007 cars got a two-tone black and white interior that's as classically handsome as one of James Bond's tuxedos. And just in case you forget how special this one is, there's the 007 logo in the trim above the glovebox and an individually numbered plaque within. As with the exterior, everything has the look of well-respected preservation. But what also makes a Thunderbird like this attractive is that it's a modern classic loaded with the best features. This includes dual-zone automatic A/C climate control, power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, cup holders, a power folding roof, cruise control, dual front airbags, traction control, tilt/telescopic steering column, and a premium AM/FM stereo with built-in six-disc changer and Bluetooth. The supple leather seats power adjust and are heated, and so it will be almost irresistible to get comfortable and add to the low odometer.
Ford's 3.9-liter V8 is one of those ideal motors that has a silky operation you want in a Thunderbird. It's also a modern fuel-injected powerhouse with dual overhead camshafts and variable valve timing to make sure it delivers smooth acceleration in all conditions. The fully-independent suspension, power steering, five-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel disc brakes w/ABS make this an excellent all-around cruiser.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, special Ford movie poster, car cover, tonneau cover, and cradle for the hardtop. It's hard to resist a collectible that's this sharp, loaded, and distinct. So why wait? Call today!!!
