800 Derita Road, Ste. A
You want a 2015 Ford Mustang Petty's Garage King Edition not only for the 727 hp motor, but also because it's a rare treat that comes directly from The King. So it's time to get really excited about this possible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This is the first King Edition, and it's documented as Richard Petty's personal vehicle!
This is a truly mean-looking Mustang... after all, what else would you expect Mr. Petty to drive? It starts with the unique two-tone package of Black Tri-Coat Pearl and (what else) Petty Blue. It has white and red pinstriping so it's unmistakably related to the #43 car. There are a ton more custom pieces to this special pony, including the unique front fascia, special painted Mustang logo, NASCAR-style rear spoiler, etched glass, and unique rear valance with center exhaust. It all looks fantastic because it has been well-respected low mileage leading a garage-kept life. It's easy to understand the level of care on this one. Petty's Garage says it was the first of its kind. And since it seems like most of the King Edition Mustangs were 2016 cars, there might be more to investigate on just how singular/prototype this car is.
There are plenty of special Petty pieces inside, including the logo embroidered on the headrest, floor mats, and illuminated sill plates. But what you'll really love is The King's actual signature on the driver's side dash. It's on the same plate that identifies this as number #1 of the short 243 car run. While this is built for performance - right down to the Petty shift knob on the Barton short-throw shifter - this is also a loaded machine built for comfort. It includes dual-zone automatic climate control, power windows, power locks, cruise control, keyless entry & ignition, electric rear defogger, and heated & cooled leather seats. The modern infotainment system means you not only get a terrific sounding AM/FM/XM stereo, but it also has plenty of useful features like a touchscreen, Bluetooth, and a back-up camera. Plus, the power steering can be adjusted between touring and performance driving. A modern machine also means modern safety with dual front airbags, side airbags, and anti-lock brakes.
While legendary ownership is why you want this Petty Mustang, it's what's under the hood that makes you need this pony car. The hardy 5.0-liter V8 now has a Ford Performance supercharger on top. Plus, they gave it all the upgrades in the Petty package, so it produces a whopping 727 horsepower (that's a 67% increase over stock!) The six-speed manual transmission means you are in full control of this monster motor. Petty's Garage beefed up the rest of the car to handle the power, including a Ford Racing axle upgrade, upgraded rear cradle bushings, and fully adjustable coilovers. Plus, confidence is assured with a fully independent suspension, big four-wheel disc brakes, and grippy Continental performance tires on large HRE FF01 Tarmac wheels.
The sale comes complete with a certificate of authenticity, display board, and owner's manual. This is your time to play the king in The King's ride. Call now!
