The fifth generation Corvette elevated the status of America's sports car to that of a world beating icon that was on par with Porsche's and BMW's of the day. A clean sheet design, the C5 was completely different from it's C4 predecessor. The exterior features nice rounded and flowing lines that are sporty and classically proportioned, with a see thru removable roof panel for open air cruising. The rear hatch opens at the touch of a button to access a roomy cargo area complete with a security curtain. The beautiful Torch Red example you see here has been tastefully modified with a painted black racing stripe and black side cove accents on the doors. Z06 style fog light screens and tinted light covers further the black and red theme. The paint is in excellent condition as you would expect of such a low mileage example of the breed. Inside, you'll find yourself in the lap of luxury. Black leather powered sport buckets with adjustable lumbar and side supports form to your body to hold you in place in those fast corners. A heads up display allows you to keep your eyes on the road at all times, and the driver information center keeps you informed at all times. Dual zone automatic climate control keeps you comfortable, while the AM/FM/Cassette stereo with 12-disc CD changer keeps the tunes coming. This Corvette has all the power accessories also, with one touch down power windows, power locks, and dual power mirrors. Custom touches abound on the inside, with Corvette embroidered floor mats, door sill protectors, door handle wraps, and red steering wheel cover. Under the hood is GM's LS1 all aluminum V-8 producing 350HP, and mated to a rear mounted six speed transaxle for 50/50 weight distribution. The engine has been slightly modified with a Vararam velocity stack, Vortex ram air intake, and performance throttle body. The exhaust has been replaced with a Borla Stinger cat back system, giving this Corvette a wonderful growl. Suspension is fully independent with fiberglass leaf springs front and rear. Brakes are power disc at all four corners to bring this Corvette to a stop quickly. Fat rear tires wrapped around gorgeous chrome five spoke wheels help to put all that power to the ground and launch this Corvette hard. This Corvette has everything you could want and more, and is an excellent value at this price point. Stop in today or email [email protected] to put this amazing sports car in your garage.
