This 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo #3 Dale Earnhardt Intimidator Edition is a low mileage modern collectable that has been given the proper racing livery. And on the inside, this is just a luxurious modern coupe. So it all makes for an irresistible classic that makes it easy to love a legend.
The Richard Childress Racing (RCR) made a tribute to the Intimidator with a limited run of 3,333 special edition coupes (what other number would you expect them to use?) The base of this is the Monte Carlo personal luxury coupe. And while they all look sleek rendered in the factory black, the special edition added a Galaxy Silver metallic lower body kit (complete with RCR logos) and a red perimeter racing stripe. This one takes it a step further with a full decal package that looks like Earnhardt's final NASCAR racer. Add in a spoiler, 16-inch diamond-cut wheels, and Dale Earnhardt's signature with #3 logo on the thick c-pillar, and you have a total package that's worthy of The Intimidator's name.
Inside is a loaded Monte Carlo with plenty of special touches, and the low mileage means it has a well-preserved appearance throughout. It starts with the two-tone gray leather power buckets that are enhanced by custom embroidery on the headrests. Other features include, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, keyless entry, heated seats, power steering, sunroof, and a powerful AM/FM/cassette/CD stereo system. There is even dual zone climate control so everyone gets to stay comfortable. A modern classic means modern safety features such as dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes, side airbags, and OnStar. Your steering wheel has controls for features like the stereo and cruise control, and beyond that is a full gauge package that has been given the custom treatment with Earnhardt's signature, NASCAR #3, and RCR logo.
The Monte Carlo SS was built to be an all-around fine driver. At the heart of this is the 3.8-liter V6 making 200 horsepower. The engine bay is beautifully stock and appears completely unaltered aside from the proper maintenance worthy of a special edition coupe. This modern fuel-injected powerplant fires up nicely and cruises the highways with ease. In fact, with features like the four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, four-wheel power disc brakes, and fully independent suspension, you're not going to be able to resist adding to the ultra-low odometer.
The sale comes complete with the original window sticker and original marketing materials. This one gets the look right everywhere from the time capsule interior to the NASCAR-specific Goodyear tires. It all makes for the right kind of limited edition coupe that's great for both collecting and driving. Call today!!!
