Saturday, Aug. 6:
Rock ‘n’ bowl at the Sequoia Pro Bowl, 5501 Sandalwood Boulevard. From noon to 5 p.m., catch a vintage hot rod, truck, motorcycle and scooter show and see hand-carved tiki trophies. There’s also a pin-up contest, retro vendors and a surf-rockabilly DJ-- plus 32 bowling lanes, outdoor sand volleyball courts, and a variety of food and beverage options.
The music starts at 7 p.m.: Come hear the Russian spy-surf-horror-mystery band the Messer Chups, Cotton Jackson, and more musical acts. A sultry burlesque show by Mon Cherie Entertainment is back again this year. In the spirit of the famous Kahiki restaurant, a “Mystery Bowl” cocktail auction will benefit Cure CMD.
