Did you know that the movie American Graffiti was mostly filmed in Petaluma? It was 1972 and George Lucas used Petaluma to film what many believe is his best movie. Petaluma's Salute to American Graffiti is a classic car show and cruise held on the same streets that the movie was filmed on. Starting on May 19, 2016 with the roar of over 400 classic cars as they cruise into Petaluma for the show. Join us as we dance at our Sock Hop. On Friday, May 20th, cruise on over to our get together party for a visit with old friends or new ones. On May 21st, we all head to downtown Petaluma where we park all the classic cars on the same streets that Milner cruised on. See if you can find all the filming spots, Follow Curt's footsteps in trying to track down that T Bird or look for the Wolfman at our XERB radio station. At 4pm, you will hear the roar of those classic cars as we open the streets for some cruising, American Graffiti style. Vehicle registration opens on February 1, 2016 and registration forms can be downloaded at http://www.ameringraffiti.net/ See you there!
