Hello!
It's time to start planning for Shell Lake's Town & Country Days 9th Annual Shell Lake Car & Bike Show!! This year the show will be on Sunday, September 2nd from 2-5pm right here on Main Street (5th Ave.) in beautiful Shell Lake, WI.
As you may already know, each year we pick a non-profit organization that benefits Washburn County or Shell Lake and its residents, to help raise money to offset some of their pretty major expenses.
In the past eight years, we have raised money, totaling almost $9,500 for some amazing causes, like the Washburn County Food Pantry, our veterans via the American Legion, Honor Guard and VFW, the TimeOut Abuse Program of Washburn County, Lakeview Medical Center Hospice Program and most recently the Alzheimer’s Day Respite Program.
Each year we receive amazing donations from generous businesses like yours to use for prizes, silent auctions and the show in general. We also have wonderful sponsors like Al’s Market, My Favorite Things, and Klopp's 5th Ave Bar! Without them and without you, the show wouldn't be what it has become!! So THANK YOU!!
It is my pleasure to announce that this year I have researched and selected the Shell Lake Fire Department which serves Shell Lake, Washburn County and the surrounding areas, an organization that goes above and beyond providing our community, loved ones, family and friends with the kind of service and protection that is second to none.
Established in 1898, the Shell Lake Fire Department proudly serves the City of Shell Lake, portions or all of Barronett, Bashaw, Beaverbrook, Dewey, Roosevelt and Sarona townships of Washburn and Burnett Counties in Wisconsin.
They have approximately 180 square miles of coverage. Besides fighting structure fires, Shell Lake Fire Department also assists the DNR in wildland fire protection, cold water & ice rescue training, water rescues, auto extrications, and many other services.
The Shell Lake Car Show is always looking for help with door prizes and silent auction items to use in the show to help raise money. Anything you can do to help us help the Shell Lake Fire Department would be extremely appreciated!
