Monday, May 25th will be a great day of sunshine and remembering our veterans as we enjoy a fantastic car show with All-American Corvettes and Muscle Cars, raffle, grilled hot dogs, free museum admission for retired and active military & car owners, color guard presentation and a festive celebration! All are encouraged to dress in theme: Rosie the Riveter, Uncle Sam, military fatigues, etc. There will be plenty of opportunities to take photos with cars including our 1943 Army Jeep and in the cockpit of an original “Huey” helicopter. Games and activities for all ages will be available in the paved outdoor parking lot South of the Museum.
Car Owners: All makes and models Corvettes & Muscles welcome to join this event. Please register easily online for just $20 online prior to May 24! Registration will be available the day of for $25. We are expecting a record crowd – so please arrive early to park your car and enjoy the show. Keep reading for more show information.
Just like previous years, everyone who joins us will get to see a real military helicopter up-close and even get to climb inside! The Bell UH-1 Iroquois, unofficially “Huey,” is a military helicopter powered by a single, turbo shaft engine, with a two-bladed main rotor and tail rotor. The helicopter was developed by Bell Helicopter to meet the United States Army’s requirement for a medical evacuation.
