Event Dates: October 30, 2014 - November 2, 2014 Location: San Angelo, Texas
The Wool Capital Region AACA (WCR-AACA) is hosting the 52nd Grand Ole Tour in and around San Angelo, Texas. Antique automobile enthusiasts are invited to come together and share the joy of driving antique vehicles. Enthusiasts who own a work-in-progress or no longer keep an antique vehicle are invited to drive their current daily driver.
The registration fee until Oct 7 is $90 per car and driver plus $90 for each additional person 12 yrs and older. After Oct 7 the registration fee is $110. Fee includes 2 lunch stops, one banquet dinner, dash plaque, and goody bag. There will be no official judging nor contest; touring, fun and fellowship is the main objective.
For our out-of-town guests the deadline for receiving the best rate at the Clarion Hotel is September 30. Please contact them directly at(325)658-2828 and mention WCR-AACA. The hotel is situated on Rio Concho Drive near Fort Concho National Historic Landmark, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, the River Walk, old Santa Fe Railways Depot, and an old town re-creation where visitors can look over period buildings.
The Tour begins at the Clarion with check-in and registration at 1pm on Thursday October 30. Driving tours on Friday and Saturday include stops at The West Texas Boys Ranch, Aermotor Windmill Company, Carmelite Heritage, Lake overlook in Robert Lee, a visit to Miles, Texas, and photo opportunities along the way. The weekend will conclude with a relaxing banquet dinner Saturday evening.
We expect to have a great touring weekend and hope to see all of our antique and classic car friends.
