Event Dates: July 18, 2015 - July 18, 2015 Location: Pine Island, Minnesota
The Pine Island Chamber of Commerce, City of Pine Island, Island Classic Car Club have come together to start a monthly summer event "Pine Island Saturday Nights". This event will take place once a month at the creamery building in the City Park which is nestled along the banks of the Zumbro River where you will find tall trees for shade, a large playground for kids, restroom facilities and horse shoe pits. It is within walking distance to Pine Island’s Historic Main Street and is the gateway to the 12 mile long Douglas Trail.
BORROW-A-BIKE: Interested in taking a bike ride down the trail while you are here? No Problem! Borrow-a- Bike is located behind the creamery building and will be open for these events!
CLASSIC CAR DRIVE-IN: The Island Classics will host the classic car drive-in that will be located in the parking lot of the park. Admission and entry is free so bring your car to show or enjoy viewing someone else’s.
HUNGRY? You can grab a bite at a wide assortment of food vendors and also some great goodies from other vendors that will be at the event or grab dinner at one of Pine Island’s many restaurants.
THIRSTY? Leave your coolers at home because the Pine Island American Legion will be setup inside the creamery building serving your favorite alcoholic beverages.
HAVE LITTLE ONES? Worried about keeping the kids busy? No problem! The Pine Island Girl Scouts will have kid activities and games in the park next to its existing horse shoe pits, playground, and bike trails! Plus the Goodhue County Sheriff's Department will be there with their K-9 unit doing demos!
LIVE MUSIC: Last but not least - live music from Smash & Grab will be playing from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.!
