Annual Touch a Truck

Good afternoon!



The annual Park District of Highland Park Touch a Truck will be held on September 27th from 9:30am-noon, and I wanted to invite some classic cars to join us. This year, our free community event will be held at Sunset Woods Park and a preview to our fall festival, the HP Hoedown!

I am in hopes you may want to join us for this wonderful event. In 2024, we had just at 1000 attendees enjoying the big trucks, smaller vehicles and stunning weather. There is no fee, and the only commitment I ask is that you provide staff with a vehicle and opportunity for children to visit among the cars. Just as last year, we will be hosting a Sensory Friendly half hour from 9:30am-10:00am, which means we will not activate the lights and sirens until 10am for patrons who have sensitivities.
