Hot Rod Standoff II Car Show and Festival will feature hundreds of vehicles, along with
live music all day, culminating in a FREE concert by Grammy Award winner Rick Trevino.

Gonzales, Texas – May 5, 2016 – Hot Rod Standoff II Car Show and Festival will rumble across the city of Gonzales on Saturday, June 4th, 2016. New this year, the show will take place at Confederate Square and Texas Heroes Square, covering a full 20 city blocks. Admission to the car show and all live music is free to the public. Event organizers are anticipating 400 cars or more to enter.

In addition to presentations by Ballet Folklórico, the entertainment lineup during the day features some of the most talented female musicians in Texas. Performances are scheduled from Ready Betty, an all woman USO tribute band, Danger Cakes and Ruby Dee and The Snakehandlers. The highlight of the daytime music will be award winning singer and songwriter Patricia Vonne and award winning artist Rosie Flores. The two will perform separately and as a duo with a performance of Flores’ song “This Cat’s in the Doghouse.” In the evening, folks can enjoy the sounds of country music artist Rick Trevino.

Gates open for car show entrants at 8:00 a.m. Awards will be presented at 4:30 p.m. Live music starts at 11:00 a.m. and runs until 6:00 p.m. Dance performances take place at
6:00 p.m. The Rick Trevino concert runs from 10:00 p.m. until midnight.

Founded in 2011 by Joel Gammage, Hat Rod Productions began with the Hot Rods and Hatters Car Show and Festival in Lockhart, Texas. The 2016 show saw over 800 cars entered and 50-thousand spectators. This event is heading into its sixth year and has grown every year since inception.
