Poker Run III – A Trip to See Fall Colors

Developed as an offshoot of a well-known Car Club, our organization encourages others who own classic or special interest cars to get together and enjoy each other’s company. Why We Drive Them creates various events aimed at driving our cars as opposed to letting them sit in the garage. (We’ve all been guilty of that in the past!) All at no cost other than the cost of fuel and your own food or drink along the way.



We’ve planned our next major event for Sunday, October 16th. It is called “Poker Run III – A Trip to See Fall Colors”. The trip starts in Gilberts, IL, travels to Illinois Route 2 just south of Rockford, down along the Rock River to Oregon, on to Kirkland, and then back to Gilberts. There will be opportunities along the way to stop for a bite to eat, drinks, bio-breaks, and fuel. Followed by an opportunity to have dinner together at the end of the trip. And of course, we play a hand of poker along the way, with prize money for the top three poker hands at the end of the event.
