The Woodward Dream Cruise is a celebration of car culture, founded in 1995 by Mr. Nelson House, and a handful of volunteers, to raise money for a children's' soccer field in Ferndale, MI. What was intended as a one-time event has grown into one of the largest automotive events in the world. The Woodward Dream Cruise takes place on the third Saturday of every August, and has grown to attract automotive enthusiast from around the world with classics, customs, hot rods, muscle cars, street machines, collector and special-interest vehicles of all kinds.
